A new button project is planned to started soon (in two weeks)
If you have an idea for a button please send it. I would post it here
and I think it would be an interesting post.
Otherwise I'll do it all myself again...
~¤--¤~
The picture @ the entrance will stay the same for a while too....
If you have any ideas for that..just send me a small file and
i will look it over and maybe post it for a few days

I was just added to the mp3 list @ http://members.tripod.com/mp3linx/
~¤--¤~
I found a great link from an email that asked me to go to a cheesy
riddle page...you know the one that is a total sham....
Well this was a case where it helps if you backtrack on links to try to
find something good and i did...here is the direct link:

http://www3.mcps.k12.md.us/users/elaine/mp3files/
Check out what the domain is....heheh....those losers.
We now have one song off the "Spy who shagged me" soundtrack.
I got it off the above site.

~¤--¤~
Ok, now i have to give a few shout outs
To the friends of mine that are in the opener picture...you all look great!
To Fry's Electronics in FV...U tha bomm tobisha!
To Mp3 Linx for finding my ultra nice site.
To my moms who gave me a stack of graph paper a few months ago.
~¤--¤~
I saw Earshot, a hardcore industrial sounding band @ the
Sanctuary club held at the Dragonfly.
The are a four piece: heavy guitar, bass, drum and singer.
I have to say they kicked off a great weekend.
I also went to Club Blue @ the Tempest.
That place sucks dood...I just don't dig 60's brit pop clubs.
What sucks is that my friend got a parking ticket...
the check is in the mail AC.
If any one has heard of Earshot or has an actual cd, live or studio
drop me an email.

Mp3 has taken the news by storm since my last post.
Nearly everone has been exposed and believes they are a
know it all...reminder...the supreme court has not ruled against the storage
of MP3...in fact they have supported the act of space shifting.
so burning Mp3 is completely legal...I am not saying this is legal..but it is in fact
a way for me to store my music where I can access it (from work).
~¤--¤~
I have found a great place to pick up free and legal mp3.
go to: www.shockwave.com and click on the music tab.
Their site lists other websites that offer mp3.
for example: I picked up tracts by juno reactor and underworld
the files were 128/44! This is quality!
~¤--¤~
This month I offer a funny video of mr. bill clinton.

07.26.99

It seems the webjump and web2000 links are a little slower than usual.
I won't be using those services any longer.
~¤--¤~
I encourage all of you to check out the mp3 page for new files in the coming weeks.
Today I added one whole file!

It rests in my new neotribe account at xoom.
~¤--¤~
Over the weekend I found a cache of Chemical Brothers, Meat Beat Manifesto and
a whole bunch of NOFX. If you like any of those try Kermit and search for Chemical Brothers.
~¤--¤~
I also made it to LA and bought some Haujobb, Cat Rapes Dog, Clock DVA
and other imports that are very tasty. Look here for them soon.

07.10.99

It looks like this site will be taking to the back burner.  Work and activity in real life has taken much of my time and energy.
It has taken me nearly a month to come back and update and manage all the links this summer.
There are currently no broken links, they may be slow, but not broken...I changed all *.pdf extensions to *.dxf to solve the problem of downloading
for those that have Adobe Acrobat associated with their MS Internet Explorer.   FYI: *.dxf files are used by many companies in the graphic/engineering
field that need to view and edit an AutoCAD file but don't have AutoCAD.  I use Microstation...do I really care?  No.  But admins might.
Also maintaining the files is work in itself (with about 7 different server spaces on the net) I reccomend to everyone that if you are serious about

collecting mp3 you should d/l a ftp client and go to audiogalaxy.com or use an IRC client to chat and find mp3 ftps.
Then you can open a working site like mine.  All I the comments on this site (from irc and chat) have sucked...so if you have any good words please email me.
~¤--¤~
I have taken on another project called <c i p h o n>--</i n t er m i t t e n t> and have decided to postpone the reface of my home page
If you wish to read semi current news and topical rants please visit the main site @ http://home.att.net/~scouringpowder/ciphon/ .
I thank all of you that visit and regret the termination of the news portion of this site; the page will remain as a way to archive all news.

~¤--¤~
Any news will be posted on the front page from now forward..
~¤--¤~
The mp3 page will remain and be updated periodically...but for now I need a break.
Since my recent install of Linux (red hat 5.2) I have been dedicating my computer time
to learning the working of UNIX and the innards of Linux.  It gets complicated at times..

I have also bought a Diamond Rio (w/ $50 rebate!) and this has released me from the condemnation of my task chair.
~¤--¤~
Again, I thank all of you who visit, please come again!

  • Winamp came out with another release?!
I think it is trick by AOL to delete our harddrives
full of illegal MP3...oh did i say that?
  • MP3 hardware is now available!
Also a system for your car is being
    commercialized....but it is way expensive.

  • Pay for Linux software?! I dunno...Xing
releases a mp3 encoder specific to Linux.
    read it here
  • Amazon.com set up a mp3 page thinking it
might increase CD sales....I wonder if I have
    more selection?

Thanks people...
I never had a counter that went that high before.
I'd like to thank all my friends who have shown their support.

Soon my other site will be revamped.
If you want to chk it out go ahead...
I hope to make it more news oriented because most
of the people who I talk to do not know what the hell I am saying.
I guess I am nerdy for thinking this stuff is cool.

I wanted to buy a Diamond Rio before my trip this weekend,
but I was to lazy to get off my ass on my own time and buy it.

I am going to Santa Cruz, California. I hope there is weed up there.
The least I will do is drink. Well i gotta jet, if you know what I mean.

The site has officially moved to scouring's addy (early).
Attendance seems to be up.

Geiss is rereleased.
My dad once said
"Whoa thats trippy!"

get winamp plugin
get screensaver

I added six more links.
Everybody likes the Doors.
I added some industrial too...it is off this
great compilation I got a few months ago
called Moonraker.

Remember that this site is moving--next week.

The KMFDM - Adios link was taken down, but will be
back up soon. More links to come.

New links will be added..I just got new server space!
Thank you to:
xoom, web1000, and webjump.
Little do they know...heheh.

Ok, I am changing the location of the website
to make editing and updating much faster.
The address will be:

http://home.att.net/~scouringpowder
The beam.to address will automatically forward you,
so don't worry.
That addy is, once again:
http://beam.to/MP3INCINERATE
easy hmmm?
An index page will be placed in the former location just in case.

06-01-99

Totally revamped the site.
I hope you like it...
I saw Star Wars over the weekend and
I refuse to call it episode one because it is still
episode four to me...screw those little Taco Bell eating,
Chihuahua looking toddlers.  I added Snoop Dogg off his "Tha Game..."
album; I also added Xzibit and DMX.

Audiogalaxy has been slow finding the mp3 I want...all there
is are ratio sites left, and unless I want to spend all weekend
at work I refuse to upload one file. I wish I could find L7 or Lunachicks.

To suffice I have been frequenting MP3.COM and I have picked up
many good files there.  Some are: Red Delicious, [Krushed R], Krushed Opiates,
Opiate Receptor, and many more. You should check them out.

What annoys me most now is the brattiness of the morons
on the Audiogalaxy mIrc chat room.  Go try it out and you will see what I mean
after a few days or weeks.  If you want to keep your computer working like it is
you shouldn't go there.  They are a bunch of two-bit loser "hackers" that know how to use
someone else's mIrc script.  Thats why I don't use mIrc much anymore.
And their mp3s suck shit...who wants Ricky Martin?! (lol)

05-30-99

Wow, the counter is going wild!
Can I reach the 2000 mark by next week?

I added Busta Rhymes "Whats it gonna be?"...
That song is so cool.. I wish I had the video to offer.
I have to admit that Buster is the best crossover artist there is!

Ha, HA...don't be alarmed of Busta's filename...I had to get
space from a XXX website provider...LOL
the URL is:

remember to always change the file type to *.mp3 not pdf!

05-17-99

The special is different today. Try them out.
They aren't too big and the songs are real nice,
that is, if you like different things like me.

I think webjump is gonna can the rest of my accounts.
If anyone can register a xoom account with their email and
send me the user name and password I can upload a lot more.

So, far I got four accounts with xoom. Two with webjump.
Two with fortune city (they suck, because they limit upload size to
less than 2MB. I just about ran out of emails to register with.

There are now 27 MP3 on this page.
Remember to always change the file extension back to *.mp3
Allfiles page was updated, try and add the files together and see what you get.
My comp says 2.08 Gigs.

winamp releases 2.2 and I don't like it...I revert back to 2.10
does anyone have 2.0?
